Holiday life in Sabah

It's already the 5th day I'm in Sabah....

Saturday (1st day) the flight from Penang was alright..I met an old acquittance of me from Tambunan..well, she's a stewardess...earlier I noticed that she's been looking at me several times then right before we landed, she came to me and said.."you look so familiar..are you from Tambunan?" I replied.."No.." I was kinda rude I thought for not giving a proper response to her question..I should have said.."sorry..no.." she then said sorry and still with the look familiar sentence before she walked away...once we landed, before I went down from the plane..she stopped me and asked if I remember a girl who's staying next to our house in Tambunan...of course I remember and she then asked "bukan nama ko wel ka?"...then a short conversation occurred leaving me the only passenger on the plane whilst others had already entered the main building...we had to stop the conversation and hoping to meet in Tambunan later on as she will be home in a couple of days later to attend a wedding in Tambunan..I gave her my card (coincidentally I have 2 cards in my wallet...) but I totally forgotten to ask her name and number...better luck next time then...the funny thing about the memory she had was..."suda la ko jadi doktor?" I was like..kind of blur..then another steward came and interrupted our conversation.."dia cakap ko mau jadi doktor bah masa ko kecil...masa kamu kecil punya cerita" I then laugh kecil kecilan..haha...what a memory huh...she kept on "pukul manja" my hand...yeah, she always came to our house at that time...haha...but i never really remember what I had said during that time...perhaps you might want to hear one funny story about child hood memory...an old friend of me during child hood...she came to me and reminded me of what I had told her when we were like Primary 1? I said that I will marry her when we're old enough...how can she remember that and I can't????

Arrived in KK (Saturday)...Fab fetched us (me and Jew) and straight away heading to Kepayan..4 set! then went to airport again to fetch Brandon and Fab's gf..headed to Cempaka..it was already around 4pm...from that time onwards....we were drinking as if there's no tomorrow...haha..there were me and Jew (Penang); Brandon (KL); Johnny, Fab, Nelly, Helga and Norman (KK) drinking...I was completely lost that night...drunk like crazy..beers kept on coming non-stop...I can't remember what had happened to the second quarter of the event...once i was told..I was like...what was I thinking?...we then adjourned at around 10pm...Jew's bro sent me to "somewhere" I still don't know..and my bro fetched me from there on and brought me to his friend's house....I was already drunk..but funny was, my bro also drunk and he didn't remember he drove to fetch me...haha....again, I can't really remember about the party there...still, I drank couple of cans...the next day, I woke up laying on the floor...moved onto the sofa and saw the wedding picture...(eh..I recognize the lady on the picture.) She was a student in USM..same batch as me...when we went out that afternoon for a lunch she then asked me if I still remember her...obsolutely I remember her...she was thinking of asking me that question the time I came in that night but there was no point of asking with the condition I was at that time..haha...she married to my bro's friend...haha..what a small world huh...nice meeting her again with a bigger tummy (pregnant)..went home to my bro's house and resting..my body was "sick" the whole day..thankfully I didn't kogutan (headache due to hang over)...resting the whole day..worst..I left my hp with Jew and the phone is already in Ranau...on the other hand, Jew left his jacket...so we're going to meet up for an exchange..hahaha..thankfully I brought with me the other hp (Digi) and use the hp until we've made the exchange...hehe..Thanks to Johnny (Penampang guy) who is one of my best buddy since in Penang..he took care of me that night..well I was drunk like crazy..haha..thanks!

Monday...went out to Putatan meeting up with Fab for a lunch...I was still blur about that night in Cempaka...he opted for not saying anything further..haha..he just laugh at me and suggested to speak with Johnny...we had our lunch somewhere nearby the Maybank Putatan...thankfully I still remember most of the roads in KK..hehe...Fab left to work and me drove heading Centre Point..what a massive jam there...plus with the heavy rain..I was stucked there for almost an hour...due to the rain and jam, I decided to cancel my plan to jalan-jalan cari pilak di CP...drove straight to 1 Borneo...yeah..still raining and there also a massive traffic jam along the way to 1B...reached 1B and I was excited to see and explore the great shopping mall in Borneo...parked at the basement and walked into the entrace...once I was in the building...I began walking..from right to left and forth...ground floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor and 3rd floor...in my mind.."??????????????..Is this the great 1B mall that was rumored to offer a good place for shopping and spending your leisure time????????" Sorry but I am disappointed with 1B...my Bro was one of the RA for the project..(when he was working with a company that was involved)he told me a lot about its defects there and here...I totally see where and what he meant by that....I'm sure most of us knew what is that thing that causing such good project become a waste....hoping to see more development and improvement by the time I come to visit it next time...at around 7pm that night I went out to meet up with Fab again at Donggongon..just to accompany him meeting up with the Pusakag Production's owner...Fab has been working hard whilst he was still in Penang to produce his own Dusun album..we've heard several of his songs and we believe, he has a very good voice, lyrics and music for the market....before we left, we had a couple set of beers at the Pusakag Cafe..Fab sang couple of songs..as for me, I preferred to observe the new place and enjoy the music..that was for the night...

Tuesday...went out to Sadong to meet one of a fellow blogger...who? for the sake of keamanan kerajaan Sabah..I have to keep it secret..haha..and several other coincident things happened...Johnny was having lunch there with his colleagues...(I never know that he works in Maybank, Sadong) my ex was also there having lunch with her colleagues or friends or I don't have any idea at all..haha...once I arrived, I went to Maybank to take out some money yang semakin kering..haha...then went to meet Johnny..too bad I didn't get the chance to meet or say hi to my dear ex...chatted few minutes with Johnny also a simple hi with a hand shake introducing myself to Johnny's friends..left him and went to meet that fellow blogger...first time meeting and it was just a short period of time...enough for me to eat nasi ayam and drink a glass of milo ice..hehe...nice meeting you "tagalog"...hehe...we adjourned after almost an hour chatting as "tagalog" has to work...pekerja berdedikasi..I then headed back home...that evening I went out again to meet up with my sister and her bf...we went to Lido for a dinner...I arrived 30 mins earlier so I had to wait them for the entire time..huhu..it was planned at 7:30pm but she was shopping in Karamunsing with her bf...it was the first time for me to get to know her bf..so, the dinner was just kind of a catch up chat among me, my sis and him...couple of hours after, we then headed to our own direction....once i arrived in Kolombong, I saw lot of cars were parked along the road....then I realised they were actually stopping by to watch the fire...a shop lot was burnt down...I saw one police car and NO FUCKING FIREMAN!!!! Although it was dark...still, I was able to see there was no one trying to stop the fire from spreading into the other shop lot unit...but the day after, I saw it's only that one unit..others are saved...thanked god..few minutes at home, I received a call from Johnny telling me he's with his friend drinking in Donggongon...I went there and joined them...there were Johnny and Don (Douglas if am not mistaken)..drinking with Don that night was the second time for me...so we knew each other..chatting and laughing continuously...we didn't drink that many as Johnny has to work the day after and I have to drive back...so we ended up with 5 set of beers...went back at around 1am...

Wednesday...I'm going back to Ranau..I'm currently waiting my bro to fetch me after sending his gf...till then hope you had a great holidays...going to meet up with Jew later in Ranau for an exchange..I might be in KK on the New Year's Eve...

Balik Kampung

At this time I might already boarded a plane heading to the KK…or I might have landed in KK and somewhere in KK, hang out with friends...partying, chatting and drinking…

I can’t really tell precisely where I might be for the whole period of my annual leave (22nd Dec 2008 – 4th Jan 2009) I could be in KK, Ranau or Tambunan…earlier this year, I had planned to visit my old friends in Sandakan but due to some complication…I have to bury that plan and postponed to some other time….I haven’t been to Sandakan for over 6 years…the place where I grew up….the place where I learned to be a boy also a teenager…be it good or bad, it’s part of me you’re getting…..

The last time I went back to Sabah was in Jun 2007…which was a waste as I would considered it…I might be a selfish man at some point for not thinking of going back to Sabah although I have plenty of holidays..I might also be one of the guy that you would call, non-patriotic for not going back to Sabah to help our own people and beloved state to develop a better place for living…you call it…whatever you’d like to…I never really had nor having a real homesick feeling as most people would call it…of course I’m missing and worry about my parents and care about them…but thinking of pursuing the “thing” in life and making the best out of you…one must take certain different path and live to do the best out of it…surviving in other people’s territory, into the wild world…least I could do is, not leaving them behind if they require my help or perform my responsibility as we call it…

I’m thankful to have good parents...blessed by their prayers…by mean, God’s will…and blessed with good friends around me….heading back to Sabah to reunite with my family and relatives is always a good feeling…although deep down inside, I’m always worry that I couldn’t do much to ease their life...especially when I’m there observing the real thing with my own eyes…which usually makes me angry…still, thinking of the reality of life…I can’t do all and handle everything as I would wish and hope....

My first day in Sabah will be filled with parties…we have a plan for a small kind of reunion at one of a famous karaoke centre in KK…heading there once I arrive in KK later in the afternoon…afterwards, I’ll be joining my big bro to a BBQ party at one of his friend’s house in Putrajaya…several of his friends are my friends as well (childhood friends in Ranau before we moved to Sandakan) few hours ago I was amused (smiling) by both of my siblings when they were asking who’s going to fetch me at the airport…then 2 of my friends were asking the same question followed by their offer to fetch me…I rarely tell my friends or family if I'm coming back...having said that, I have not felt this kind of feeling for quite a time…another friend was jokingly asking me to jalan-jalan at Centre Point later in the evening (funny and cute because she will be there with her friends…it’s a perfect "coincident" meeting each other..hehe..) it seems that lots of people are looking forward to see me…thanks and very much appreciated…unfortunately I had already plan for a friend to fetch me…F.Y.I… me and Jew will be boarding the same plane from Penang…Fabian who had recently moved to Sabah couple of months ago is fetching us then proceed according to plan (lunch then Karaoke-drink)…usually, I will be the one who will contact and remind them that I will be arriving at this and that time then request their favour to fetch me at the airport....

"Hi wel..[smile]" if you recognize me k...then "Sudah makan?"..I'm sure I will reply "Hi..belum..kau mau belanja?[smile]" hehe...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2009! Had a great holiday chaps!

Berjalan Kaki 10km..

UPDATED - Added Pictures on 17th Dec

Courtesy from Jew

Courtesy from Jew
Courtesy from Jew

A slipper that cost me RM190

I’m off today…that’s the bottom line…hehe.…a’ight, perhaps I was really tired yesterday causing me to wake up a little late today (around 11am) where I slept at about 3am..I didn’t even dream of anything...it was so plain and once I woke up, I was rushing to check my email if there were any urgent matter/emails needing my attention…none…great god!

Surfed the internet awhile, took a shower then straight to the office…reached at the office at around 12:20pm…sent several emails (as well as reply)…a short discussion with developers on their current works…updated the customer of their issue’s progress then a small chat with new staffs….

Left the office at around 2:45 heading to one of the shopping complex nearby my house (Kompleks Bukit Jambul) I was planning to buy a slipper (selipar jepun) because the one I have at home already tenggelam-timbul (sebab si aguk yg melebihi had muatan..haha) and almost putus due to some small slash then pandai jadi besar…haha…

Guess what happened? I ended up with RM190 deficit!!! How the hell that happened? Blame me and blame the shops...huhu…walked around trying to look for a decent slipper then I saw this nice simple loafer….I bought it…jalan-jalan lagi and saw the DVD shop…went there…bought couple of DVDs….then went down to the shop selling original DVD/VCD where I can find lots of anime…found the Wangan Midnight DVD..I bought it…haha…then jalan-jalan lagi…saw this shop selling t-shirts…bought 2 of them…by the time I bought the t-shirts...I noticed that I have spent more than I should for a slipper…..still I’m happy because I found the Wangan Midnight anime..I sent a text message to my bro…asked him the prize for his DVD and how many DVDs were there…the one he bought has 3 DVDs (complete 1-26 End) with a Soundtrack CD for RM37...the one I saw and bought is RM28 for a single DVD (complete 1-26 End)…another one was 4 DVD s+ Soundtrack CD at RM29..wahaha..dengan gembira aku membeli RM28…then RM10 jimat sudah pakai untuk beli Dunhill big pack..haha..efficient betul!
What’s going to happen to me later once I reach KK…don’t be surprised to find me at Kg Air ah….muda-mudi yang berminat..ada diskaun k..hahaha…..damn it! I’m planning to jimat tapi bukan pula jimat...haha…OK la ba…the last time I spent money for shopping other than DVD was 4 months ago…it was not me though….a favour from my friend who went to Bali…so I gave him money to buy me a Hard Rock Café t-shirt…I was kind of regret last time when I went to Pattaya’s Hard Rock Café and I didn’t buy any t-shirt…would you buy a t-shirt for USD$70?!! This time, I gave my friend RM100 and he bought me a very nice t-shirt...love the design very much….even though the size is macam body fit…haha..nasib lagi badan ku ada ketulan even not as good as si 300..haha…

I felt guilty...

My rough agenda pada hari ini yang membuatkan saya berasa 11 jam menjadi 4 jam....but it was fun though..I love my job and work..hehe..

*time has been rounded up based on actual events

04:00 PM - Development Work (Unit testing and discussion)
04:30 PM - E-mailing...e-mailing..e-mailing
5:15 PM - I left the office

* I'm grateful that I'm used to the habit of not having lunch (I had breakfast) but pity me for not having a moment for a cigarette the whole day...huhu..

I felt guilt....I have 2 works orders and 3 issues tracking (software life cycle procedure; fault-fix-test-released) allocated to my team, 1 customer's issue that require investigation...new staffs require guidance and monitoring.....

I told my team (developers) that I might come to office tomorrow...around noon perhaps...to catch up with the above matters...

This is going to be the last part of my periodic holidays of the year 2008...I will be on annual leave again tomorrow and next Monday (12th and 15th)....

As usual, the manager called and he always had the sense to know that I was still in the office, working...we discussed about the current pace of the new staffs...I told him that I can't really speak at that moment (internal matters) so suggested that I will email him details, later once I have time..thankfully, he understood that I've been really busy....juggling between training, support and development works...so he told me to email him once I have time to do it....I will, I said to him and then I told him that I'm going to participate in the Penang Starwalk 2008 this Sunday...he was laughing and jokingly asked me to share the experience with everyone in the company later once I got back (seeking sponsorship..hehe..)...we both laugh...then suddenly the 2 developers and my successor who were there heard the news, they were also laughing....huhu..

On the week after next week...that's the real holiday..I will be in Sabah for 2 consecutive weeks....in case any of you see me and recognize me..do not hesitate to say "hi wel..[smiling]" and I will certainly reply with a simple "hi.. [smilling]"...

God is good....

Kehaaaa!!!! I'm on leave AGAIN tomorrow and next Monday!!! How's that sound to you?? I'm absolutely happy, excited and enjoying this holiday month...this time around, I have something to look forward...thanks to my big bro..Madarch...he told me there's an anime "Wangan Midnight", a story about the Devil Z car....the first model of Nissan Fairlady Z (S30)..kehaaa! Although the characters are not as great as the Initial D...still, it has one thing in common that makes me so interested to download and watch....Yeah! It's about car!..you heard me.....I love car very much especially old models and I wish to have plenty of money then assemble my own "beiol" version of a prototype car for street racing..perhaps for drag race and drifting as well..it's a dream I longing to..huhu..too bad I'm "still" a poor man...God have been kind enough to let me survive into the wild world..so I'm still grateful for that...thanks k God...

Jew..macam mana ni..do we have a deal?? BBQ kan this weekend..*wink wink*..alasan supaya si Claire datang menunaikan cek beer dia..haha...

Today....whilst checking my bro's cbox..I saw his response to my earlier message as follow....

3 Dec 08, 17:06

2 Dec 08, 23:47
wel: sia tengah download..hehe....3d cantik tp watak punya bida..haha..

...cis!! Last couple of years ago, I was the one who brought my whole complete set of Initial D to Sabah to let him watch..haha..no worries k..nothing worth trusting than your own blood (quoted from the movie Wyatt Earp) that's good though...perhaps we can open a designated cinema room in your house....with all my DVD collection...serving beers and my favourite hot dog 1901...sound good huh...hehe...life ain't that complicated if we knew how to enjoy (cherish) it..

Enjoy your weekend and Selamat Hari Raya Haji to all fellow blogger! Cheers!

Welcome December!

First of all, I would like to wish all my fellow blogger as well as my dear friends a very warm season greetings of Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2009. I’d also love take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and never ending visit…cheers to that!

In my previous post of “Holiday Mood”…I’ve revealed my days off and availability...last week, the management had decided to employ 2 new staffs and they will be coming in today, 1st December 2008…my manager was worried who’s going to train them as I would be on leave for couple of times in this month onwards… we discussed and decided to reschedule my shift for the whole month…having said that, I will be working for Oz’s shift to accommodate the training…means that I will be busy for the training, support and development…

Again huh...after what happened to our come-and-gone colleagues, I really hope the incident will not be repeated…I’ve gone through their past working experience (resume) and I can tell, they have a very impressive experience in the customer support line of work...years of experience with big companies like Dell and Intel certainly meant something to their characteristic…well, I can only hope..

With the new recruitment and in conjunction with the plan to expand the Malaysia branch, the management had reviewed our employment agreement and it is very interesting to know that there will be a big changes in next year…I’m sure you guys have that one thing in mind…Yes! More money in my account! That would me help a lot to clear some of my debt...speaking of debt…one thing comes into our mind…credit card! Anybody that owns a credit card would understand…hehe…once that's done, I'm free to fly to anywhere around South East Asia during weekend...kehaa...hahaha...

The management had also decided to downgrade the priority of having Senior Developers until we find better candidates…I have met most of them; I took part in the interview myself (some) and my personal review, I found most of them have an impressive resume…tones of experience but when they were interviewed on the skill that they should have been familiar with (as per resume)…some of them were lost…too bad huh…good on papers could be the case here….

Back to the new support colleagues, I have 3 weeks period to train them up to the point where they are considerably able to provide moderate support to UK's customers…I don’t think they would have problem in providing support to Oz’s customers although there could be some tricky problems that sometimes, myself will need to perform tests in order to rectify and resolve the issue…it’s a software and most of us knew there always a bug somewhere in a software….even the great Windows system itself..hehe..

I think I haven’t wrote much about my workplace for over a month already kan...so this could be one of many about new colleagues..hehe..I really hope my next post about them would be a positive feedback….

We do what we have to do…we hope for things that what we can contribute to get the outcome…

Freestyle Friday..

Happy Friday Chaps!

Couple of minutes ago...I have just finished watching one of my old time favourite movie...Wyatt Earp..earlier before that, I was working on a New Year 2009 layout for my blog..I spent around 3 hours trying to customize the layout up to my liking..I'm almost there..mostly all basic stuffs i.e. colours, font, structure for 3 columns template...I have not decided yet as I have another 2 columns template that I've kept for a while...well, it is too early to tell which template I would go for the year 2009...I will be applying the same concept though as the current template that is simple...hehe...

It is already Friday and I don't have any particular activity to do today...paling betul, I don't know what to do today...I applied leave purposely untuk mengasi habis cuti yang berlebihan...Yesterday evening, after I got back from my friend's place, checked and troubleshoot his laptop.......I cleaned up the territory as well as bathing our new puppy, a Siberian Husky...I don't know what had gotten into him yesterday..he was so hyper; running from there to here and around the house...one minute he disappeared and when checked he was already gone upstairs...siapa la yang ajar dia ni..another minute he disappeared then suddenly ran at me as if he didn't see me at all and hit my leg then tergulik gulik...stuntdog ka apa dia pikir buat macam tu..haha....bongok punya anjing...haha...well, the puppy was given by Mr Jew's colleague....oh ya..our previous dog (biggy) I mentioned months ago that was missing..is now back..he was missing for almost 3 weeks if not mistaken and he was so skinny when he balik "nangis" minta makan...siapa suruh bersosial tidak mahu ingat rumah..haha...I believe he has tasted the life of being a male dog..haha...I dont know how many but I'm sure he would prefer to stay with us where he can get free food everyday rather than whoring around the housing area still have to find his everyday meal...haha...

Macam mana la mau tidur ni...now rasa lapar pula...huhu..I think I'll go out for a breakfast and try to sleep la..a'ight peeps...have a great day and enjoy your eve to weekend..Cheers!

BECK - Mongolian Chop Squad

Yeye...I finally finished watching this anime…there are 26 episodes…I’d say it is quite entertaining watching this anime…it has nothing to do with the famous band BECK in the State..hehe..

Yukio Tanaka or mostly known to his friends as Koyuki, is just an ordinary junior high school boy until he saves an odd-looking dog named BECK from some kids. Beck’s owner turns out to be an emerging rock musician, a genius guitarist Ryusuke Minami (character is based on Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page and sometimes as Tom Morello) who soon influences Koyuki to start playing the guitar and recruited into BECK, playing second guitar and singing slower song… his entire life change onwards…

The story focuses on the trial and journey of their punk and rap-core band named BECK and the relationship between Koyuki and Ryusuke’s sister, Maho…

This anime contains many references (tribute) to classic rock and pop culture. There’s a particular scene of dream sequence that features various deceased rock idols such as Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon and Freddie Mercury picking up garbage…there also one major band, Dying Breed (US Band) where Eddie (guitarist for DyBreed) is a friend to Ryusuke…having said that, the anime uses both language Japan and English…Ryusuke and Maho were in the State for quite a while and most of their conversation is in English…after so many obstacles of trying to be a known band in Japan, they managed to get a tour in the US…Koyuki become the back bone to BECK when he writes and sings his own English song (Slip Out) which is acclaimed by Ryusuke as a master piece for the future of BECK..

* BECK is their commercial name used in Japan and Mongolian Chop Squad in US

Access anywhere...

Firstly of all…I’ll need to clarify that I’m no expert in anything relates to IT but I do know bit by bit about it…still this is something worth sharing and I’m sure most IT guys would like this…hehe…this is a platform that I’ve been using for almost a year to help my friends (Sabah and Peninsular) and sometimes customers (Standalone machine not Server) to resolve their problem regards to computer thingy..To use this platform, you’ll need to have an internet connection (up and running)…duh..macam mana mau access kalau teda internet..huhu...then go to this website www.ShowMyPC.com

Both ends need to go to that website (first time run) and once you’ve loaded the page...I would recommend (future use) both ends to download the application by performing a single-left click on the “Show My PC to Remote User” or “View Remote User’s PC”…well both applications are the same actually..so either one will do…if you don’t want to download you’re still able to use the application by selecting “Run” instead of “Save” when prompted

Once the application is ready and running, you will get a screen as below

The person who’s requesting another person to remote in to that machine will need to click on the “Show My PC Now” button and wait until it generates a “Share Password” as shown in the picture below. This person will need to let the other person knows the “Share Password "(numeric)

The other person who’s going to remote in, will need to click on the “View a Remote PC” button and enter the “Share Password” provided into the box below, click on the OK button then wait until another window is displayed showing the other person’s machine screen.

It is absolutely free and useful…Probably you can try this in your office with your colleague or try it on your own machine…

Good Luck!

Creating perfect relationship?

Trust is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is broken, it is the end of the relationship. Lack of trust leads to suspicion, suspicion generates anger, anger causes enmity and enmity may result in separation.

A telephone operator told me that one day she received a phone call. She answered, "Public Utilities Board." There was silence. She repeated, "PUB." There was still no answer. When she was going to cut off the line, she Heard a lady's voice, "Oh, so this is PUB. Sorry, I got the number from my Husband's pocket but I do not know whose number it is."

Without mutual trust, just imagine what will happen to the couple if the telephone operator answered with just "hello" instead of "PUB".
A man asked his father-in-law, "Many people praised you for a successful marriage. Could you please share with me your secret?" The father-in-law answered in a smile, "Never criticize your wife for her shortcomings or when she does something wrong. Always bear in mind that because of her shortcomings and weaknesses, she could not find a better husband than you."

We all look forward to being loved and respected. Many people are afraid of losing face. Generally, when a person makes a mistake, he would look around to find a scapegoat to point the finger at. This is the start of a war. We should always remember that when we point one finger at a person, the other four fingers are pointing at ourselves.

If we forgive the others, others will ignore our mistake too.
A person visited the government matchmaker for marriage, SDU, and requested "I am looking for a spouse. Please help me to find a suitable one." The SDU officer said, "Your requirements, please." "Oh, good looking, polite, humorous , sporty, knowledgeable, good in singing and dancing. Willing to accompany me the whole day at home during my leisure hour, if I don't go out. Telling me interesting stories when I need companion for conversation and be silent when I want to rest." The officer listened carefully and replied, "I understand you need television."

There is a saying that a perfect match can only be found between a blind wife and a deaf husband, because the blind wife cannot see the faults of the husband and the deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of the wife. Many couples are blind and deaf at the courting stage and dream of perpetual perfect relationship. Unfortunately, when the excitement of love wears off, they wake up a nd discover that marriage is not a bed of roses. The nightmare begins.

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away "

* The above is taken from a forwarded email of my dear friend...it is one of the greatest forwarded email I've ever read...reading the above make us thinking and mirroring.....very meaningful indeed..

Hikaru No Go

This week alone I'm kind of free and lazy (I hadn't felt this for quite some time...)..my days in the office were slow as there was not much work to do (read last week and this week's newspapers, reviewing development works and sleep...hehe)...at home, most of the time, I was in front of my PC or lying down on my bed watching anime (one that I like)..I haven't completed downloading the entire episodes though...I began watching this anime on last Sunday when there was nothing to do...well to be exacts...it was more like a re-watch...I first watched it a year ago (I borrowed from one of my friend who has over hundreds of anime DVD collection – downloaded+burned la bukan original..hehe) Currently,I have watched up to the episode 64 (out of 75 episodes) I will certainly finish watching this by today...then, I look forward to watch another anime entitled “Midori No Hibi"...also a re-watch but first I will need to download episodes by episodes….the same I did for Hikaru No Go as it will take ages to download the whole collection at once...

A short summary of the "Hikaru No Go" anime

Hikaru Shindo is just a normal twelve year old Japanese boy. But, one day, as he's going through his grandfather's old things to see what he can sell, he comes across an old Go board. A ghost type figure comes out of the board and tells Hikaru his sad story. His name is Fujiwara no Sai (or Sai of the Fujiwara), a man who was the Go Instructor, a thousand years ago, to the Emperor of Japan. However, Sai was falsely accused of cheating, and was exiled from the city. With no reason to live, Sai committed suicide by drowning himself. Now, he haunts a Go board and wants to achieve the perfect Go game, a move called the "Hand of God." He hopes to do this through Hikaru. Thus this story of growth, learning, and excitement begins...

If you look at it..I think this board game Go is also known as Othello board game (western)….also as ”perang-perang”among budak-budak sekolah in the late 80’s and early 90’s….I used to play this game using my math’s exercise book (yang petak-petak kecil)….where players will use the marks of ‘x’ and ‘o’ to mark and differentiate their territory..masih ingat kah ni…only mereka yang membesar di zaman tertentu saja tahu ni…I think in the late 90’s the game has lost its popularity and I would not be surprised if most kids today does not have any idea of this game at all…pity you all…..

Have a great weekend peeps!

Slow weekend.....I'm lovin' it

A tiring trip to KL last week..plus the day light saving time for UK shift this week onwards...really gave me a quite hard time to adjust my body these past few days...speaking of UK shift...On Monday onwards, the shift will start from 5pm and finish at 1am in the morning..if i have plenty more things to do then I will end up 2am or more....perhaps I had prepared for the changes to take effect and managed to go back 10-15 minutes before 2am this whole week...on Friday night, I arrived home as late as 2:40am due to several things especially sending out Development & Support Team's reports accordingly....well, I wouldn't want to change the state of my mind from weekday to weekend if there's thing needing looking and completion..maybe I was hoping for something that night that I had a feeling someone at home were drinking...I was true....haha..we call it "kosingud" in Dusun language...haha...Mr Jew and his cousin (currently undergoing some kind of programme in USM) were drinking..I saw there was a crate of beer and according to them, they had started earlier and had drank more than a crate...I asked where's Mr Joel...he was asleep as he had to work tomorrow morning.....then I chatted with them..and went up to my room to sleep...do you think I would really do that?? then it's not me at all..haha..so I joined them..gave them a helping stomach (I'm not giving my hand to help instead of giving my stomach to fill up the beer in)..drank about 5 cans for the night..good enough for me to fell dizzy and sleepy.....cheers to that!

So, how was my weekend so far? nothing much...as per planned, I stayed at home...resting and doing some house chores..kasi bersih semak samun dekat gate...up to this moment, I still have nothing to do...Mr Joel proposed (last night) to watch the latest James Bond movie today...I'm not in a mood to go out right now but I wouldn't know later this evening..I was actually expecting a PC to be delivered to me since yesterday..Mr Brandon's friend was asking if I could help looking at his PC....there seems to have some major problem as he couldn't switch on the PC at all....of course there's power but it doesn't want to boot etc...I have no further details at the moment so I couldn't really say what is happening....

I'm currently doing a facial treatment..hehe..why? you guys think only women will do facial treatment? Conservative betul la...as I've said before...I'm a very simple guy...still, self-presentation is as important as making sure yourself is clean....haha...I have some kind of sun burnt on my nose ba..so the black spot as well as some black heads needing removing and cleaning..so why not when I have nothing to do kan....last night I had a steam treatment and now I'm waiting for my mask to dry..a traditional mask by using the egg white...I'm sure most women are aware of this method and its benefit to our skin (a prime facilitator in skin tightening and rejuvenation)...because I need to remove those black heads, I opted for facial tissues and thankfully I still have enough to get this done..hehe...we can use egg white as a cream though..I was once a "model" for my sisters and mum for facial practice..haha..but I love it when they do facial treatment as well as hair treatment on me..I could barely remember at some point I fell asleep whilst they were doing their free treatment..haha...those were the days when I was a little boy..my mum used to pull out any unhealthy hair if she spotted one...or sometimes she will check my scalp..cari kutu?No...haha..she was looking for dandruff...and if she found any, she cleaned that spot and asked me to wash+clean my head+hair...hehe...

I'm off now..my mask is already dried..need to take shower now..hope you guys had a great weekend!

Officially removed

Few days ago, I've mentioned that I was thinking of removing the Designated Songs Collection widget on my sidebar and today I've decided to get on with that..

so, do not be surprised to see there is no more songs play list on the sidebar from now on...I'm not sure if any of you ever noticed or cared about that though..
By doing so, I'm hoping loading Designated Hermitage would take less time than ever...also..it will save more time for you to scroll down to look for the shoutbox or any relevant items as desired on the sidebar...

So long, farewell to my songs collection...nothing last forever...

In or Out?

It has been how many years since Malaysia was formed, still some people is not sensible enough about the existence of Sabah or Sarawak in "Malaysia" itself. This people thought that Sabah is just another country or certainly not part of Malaysia..I wonder why and what make they think that way? I wonder if it all began from school where you learn History of Malaysia, Asia and World? I wonder if there have some kind of brain-wash-program-seminar in Peninsular Malaysia that made them thinking Sabah is not part of Malaysia..

I usually don't mind if I get this from someone that I don't really know...unfortunately I got this from someone who should have knew about it as I'm her colleague...I've been working with her for over a year....been talking about Sabah (culture, community, life style and etc) with her...I'm not blaming her nor not happy with that..I'm just curious that how this idea or way of thinking exist within Malaysian community...

It began from a text message last night..I was working in the office and I received a text message from her as follow...

"Wei...U hv any frenz back in Sabah ah who r looking 4 a job in malaysia...my fren has a contract tat needs bout 100 ppl...." - Tapir Bte Tenuk, 04-11-2008 10:11 PM

After reading the message, I then replied...

"None that I knw of....y la from sabah work in malaysia...sabah is/also malaysia.." - Wel^Beiolman, 04-11-2008

I was busy consulting/supporting customer at that time but still, I could not ignore what she has to say about the text message..well I was on the phone with a customer and my right hand was holding my mobile replying a text message to wish a sweet-good-night message to someone I care...she replied...

"Oh ya...sorry ah..haha..." - Tapir Bte Tenuk, 04-11-2008 10:45 PM

With that response, I then decided not to reply and left it that way...I guess she was just not well aware of the geographical and history of Malaysia..that's all kan...So, back to my curiosity...can someone tell me why some of this too-proud-to-be-Malaysian or this stupid-moron-Malaysian thinks Sabah is no part in Malaysia...if Sarawak..I can understand as we need to use passport (especially people coming from peninsular) to enter the state and will be given a visitation visa.....correct me if am wrong ah..never been to Sarawak lagi ni..but that's what I heard from people who had been there...could it be the history text books used in schools around Peninsular Malaysia are differ to the ones we use in Sabah? I wonder.....

Back to work...

I (we) had a great weekend....

Friday as scheduled, we left home at around 7pm heading to the Penang Bridge was a total failure...it was a massive jam! imagine cars were lining up at the bridge's entry...so we decided to have dinner and for about an hour after we then managed to enter the bridge with lots of patience..by almost 9pm we then exited the bridge and began our real journey to Key Hell...we were kind of late as the bash party was scheduled at 10pm...I was driving Jew's Neo 1.3 and maintaining 140 kph (although sometime I went over 150 kph for couple of times) was not really hard..moreover, it has a good-strong-solid engine as well as body for smooth handling especially tackling corners..we managed to reach Key Hell less than 3 hours then stopped some where around the Curve (Damansara) waiting for Mr Brandon to come..he came with another friend of us then went to join others at Bambo9 (TTDI building)....the party was alright, well..the place was packed with people and I was not really in a good shape....eyes were kind of tired due to head lights from oncoming cars from earlier journey to KL.....before we went home, we headed to Kayu Nasi Kandar for a meal/supper...

Baru sahaja bermimpi...
Saturday at Mr Brandon's house..we had a small reunion party (me, Mr Jew, Mr Joel, Mr Brandon, Mr Alex, Mr Rayner, Mr Cero, Mr Guz, Ms Cheryle a.k.a Mrs Guz in near time soon) Ms Eva and Ms Mandy)..just to catch up with each others...we had a BBQ..4 crates of beer (2 carls and 2 special brew)..few bottles of liquor..but we only managed to finish 3 crates of beer...most of us were tired that day..Mr Guz was badly poisoned by the "Graveyard" on the night before....earlier that evening, we (me, Mr Jew, Mr Joel and Mr Brandon) were waiting for almost 3 hours at a workshop in Puchong to service Ms Eva and Mr Jew's cars...whilst waiting, we met 3 sabahans (Penampang) waiting for their car to be serviced..coincidentally, 2 of them knew Mr Brandon through their cousin...overall, the party went smooth and it was a great small party...
Sedang di buai mimpi indah...
Sunday....we went to Lumut, Perak for the Paku's show at 3pm...it was held at the TLDM village, opposite the Bernama complex..other than Paku, there was another band called "Beat the system" coming all the way from KL...so they started the show and followed by Paku..done with that, we then headed home......arrived at home around 8:30pm....when I switched on my pc, "service.exe" error came up causing failure to boot...tried several times but to no avail..tried without internet connection, the pc was able to login to windows but after couple of minutes..it restarted itself...I then ran the recovery application from the bootable Windows installer CD and it fixed the problem...thank god..if not I have to reformat my pc again and I don't think I can manage to do that right now...I really need a rest, yet I stayed up watching the final F1 race in Brazil..haha..no worries as I'm on UK Shift tomorrow (this week) which allow me to sleep up to 3pm if I need to...OK, now I want to get some good sleep and dreams...Good Night...

Updated on 4th November 2008
Mr Jew has requested me to show the pics of me sleeping+drunk+dreaming....well I was the unlucky guy in the house as I had to sleep outside...on a cushion...Mr Joel and Mr Jew were enjoying the air conditioned room+queen size bed....combining the size of Mr Joel and Mr Jew together, no wonder that even the queen size bed looked smaller....I just wonder why on earth la my tummy kana kasi nampak sana..haha..mentang-mentang seksi..haha...

Long weekend....

It is now officially over 26 hours without sleep...Mr Jew asked me..."Apa lagi masalah ko ni belum mau p tidur..?"..I replied "Kenapa la...cuti juga ba bisuk..ha.ha.." Yesterday, when I woke up, it was already nearing 11pm after a short nap from 8pm something earlier that evening...as expected, I couldn't sleep (not sleepy) anymore and decided to stay up then went to work that morning at around 5:25am from home...well, pekerja buruh kasar mimang masuk kerja awal ba...I was on Australian shift which starts at 6am (9am for Oz)..in the office..I was busy managing another session of interview later that evening..also, I trained my colleague in some areas of our software that she couldn't understand or familiar with...

I'm on 2 days annual leave (Thu and Fri)...still I have a balance of 6 days holiday..I'm left with November to fully utilize my holiday and I can't think of any days or dates at the moment..I will have another 2 days leave at the end of November and once December comes..I don't think I will have anymore option in December as I will be on leave again from 22nd onwards...I heard that my annual leave will be increased to 28 days later next year...that's next year story pula...uhu..

So..this Friday (evening), I will have a long journey to Key Hell with my housemate/s..Mr Jew and most probably Mr Joel as well (if he managed to complete his unsettling works) We are going to have a small bash party (venue has not been clarified)..then a small reunion BBQ party the day after at one of my friend's house (Mr Brandon)...planned to go home on Sunday and according to Mr Jew, we will have to go to Lumut, Perak before heading home to Penang Island...PAKU has been invited to perform in an event meant for TLDM..betul kah tu Mr Jew...that will be a long drive from Key Hell to Lumut then Penang...additional passengers on Friday would be 2 crates of beer...I don't know what to expect at this party but as usual...any party is always fun if there's beer..haha..at the end of the journey, it's predictable that I will be tired and resting...huhu..I will have to kumpul enough energy these 2 days la ni....haha..

Musics and Lyrics

It happened so sudden that I started to look for video clips of my favourite songs..or perhaps I should call this a music fest month...there have 2 previous posts so far talking about music and this is just another shit that's going to make you boring..especially to those who is not into rock/slow rock kinda genre..hehe..sorry ah but that could be due to the era you're born...I was born and grew up in this era so it is no surprise for me to love these kind of musics...belum kasi masuk lagu-lagu melayu lagi..hehe...sometimes music represents your feeling....huhu..also, you don't have to understand the lyrics or language to love and enjoy musics...

Enough with the crap..these are 2 of my favourite songs (I remember you and Patience)..2 of my favourite bands (Skid Row and Gn'R)...2 of my favourite vocalists (Sebastian Bach and Axl Rose)..Enjoy! Well, you can actually view more of these at youtube.com...

Adding to the crappy feeling, this is another song that's meant a lot to me..hehe.....I don't really care who sang it (someone did though), as long as it sounds nice to me...so ejek la ba..ni la mungkin sebab sia buli mimpi spice girl kan..haha..

* I'm thinking of removing the "Designated Songs Collection" in near time soon and probably other designated fields as well...

Chinese Democracy - US$15 million album

Finally, after decade of waiting…we are now given the official release date of Nov 23rd, 2008 to the most (x100) anticipated album!!!!

The album itself is the most expensive album…longest album ever made in the world!!!!

Oct 22, 2008…when the song “Chinese Democracy” was released on the satellite radio, within a day..it made a huge smash to listeners! It was said to be played double the amount of the current #1 song on the Billboard..

The break-up of the greatest rock band in the world is not something easy for a die-hard fan like me to swallow…it began when W. Axl Rose unilaterally rejected several songs composed by Slash…then to find, Axl Rose had hired a replacement guitarist without informing the rest of band..not to mention about Axl Rose unpredictable day-to-day whims...

Many believe that…Axl Rose was the man to blame especially he was the man who have demanded to have more of the rightful ownership of Gn'R label...according to him..Gn'R is his creation…I would not care who created Gn'R but I do believe in one thing…Gn'R will never be big if it wasn’t Axl Rose...he is the sole attraction of the band..while slash is just a co-attraction...there’s nothing special to slash other than his guitar gimmicks and skills…if he’s that great he should be able to make and accomplish his own project..let’s take his single project of Slash Snake-pit…how the hell it went?

After the big break-up…Gn'R is still receiving lots of invitation and has been tearing every stadium and night club with their new line up….that’s how great this band is…seriously speaking, Axl Rose is one hell of a vocalist…I couldn’t find any better rock singer that could outclass him on stage…up to these days..I’m still looking for any VCD/DVD of GnR’s concert at Coliseum L.A 1989…the one I really wanted to see is the footage where he ran 400m around the stadium track whilst singing…according to fans and management, he wasn’t losing any of his stamina..that was when Gn'R made it big…no other vocalist that could run and sing at once…not 20m run but 400m around the track and got back to the stage still running during the whole concert...so far, I’ve seen the footage of him fell off the stage and continued singing as if nothing had happened…watched several footage of him swearing his own fans and cancelled many road show due some mother-fuckers…that was how outrageous he was in those days....

As to why he had decided to call the album Chinese Democracy, the one constant fact about the project throughout all the chaos, Rose was quoted: “Well, there’s a lot of Chinese democracy movements, and it’s something that there’s a lot of talk about, and it’s something that will be nice to see. It could also just be like an ironic statement. I don’t know, I just like the sound of it.”

I’m just excited as I am when I first watched their concert on a VCD..I think it was 14 years back in 1994 at one of my friend's house...since then I have been a fan to this band..well it was all due to Axl Rose..looking forward to *tut* the album...hehe..unless some one buys the original copy as a belated birthday present..hehe..

If you're a fan, copy and paste this into the comment box..cheers!
