Seasons Greetings and Happy New Year 2010

Hi Chaps...

Just so you know...

I'll be on holiday (Sabah) for about 2 weeks from 18th Dec onwards and I hope every one had a great time during Christmas and new year celebrations...

I'll missed the engagement day of my ex-school mate in Penang (19th Dec) but I met him the day before (18th Dec)...spent some time with his families coming all the way from Sandakan earlier that day...Sorry but I will not miss your wedding day in the coming year!

I'll be attending a wedding ceremony of my dearest friend Helga+Norman some where in KK on 26th Dec...perhaps a perfect time to catch up with others (ex-USM) ; expecting to see those faces again (after 2-4 years) on that wonderful day!

I'll be spending my time with relatives in Tambunan during the first quarter of my holiday then Ranau with families during Christmas celebration then of course before leaving Land Below The Wind, I'll definitely be in KK...

I'll be flying back to Penang on 3rd Jan 2010...

Weekend Relaxation

Hi chaps...it's been a week since the last update huh..

I'm feeling good this week (always been though) as I have 4 days of 'weekend' starting Fri-Mon...you know why and I don't have to explain how I got it...

Nothing much to pen down at this moment...been busy catching up few movies (DVDs) I added few more into my collection yesterday noon....I woke up early to drop my friend at the airport at 9am then returned home...watched movie then went out to check out a Penang-Langkawi ferry service at town...then made a second attempt to apply for dog licenses at the Penang Municipal but I was late (closed at 12:15pm - will go next Monday la) I then drove home...

Arrived at home...I continued my DVD marathon...watched 4 DVDs...hehe..

Again, I was thinking of visiting my ex-colleague who opens a Nasi Lemak+Satay stall nearby but decided not as it was still raining..spent time with Husky..he happens to be my drinking buddy last night..haha.. sikit saja la..nanti mabuk entah apa lagi dia buat...he was barking at this one little tiny mice hiding behind the septic pipe at the backyard and I could hear a 'crying' sound came from the mice...so I decided to help the scared mice by taking Husky into the house...the backyard is now his new home although at first I put him there to punish him for his attitude months ago but now he seems better and comfortable there....He's so big and tough now yet horny as horse..haha..

Earlier today I watched 2 of my other new DVDs but they both weren't good...1 couldn't play at all and the other was stuck half way..I decided to replace them but I ended up buying few more DVDs...then saw these few Blue Ray DVD....asked and confirmed with the 'guys' there that I could play these DVDs on normal DVD player....yes so I bought 3 of them with the price of RM25 after discount...returned home and tried one of the Blue Ray DVDs...awesome!!! I tried the other 2 and they were awesome!!! Audio+Visual+Subtitle+Features=Awesome!! a converted Blue Ray DVD movie cost about RM10 each but it sure hell worth buying....this is going to be my new baby in future...hehe...I could get about 12 Blue Ray movies off RM100!!! whereas I could get 25 dual layer DVD with the same amount of money...I can see the difference between them in term of cost and quality..hehe...a big smile...

I really have nothing much to do during these few days than resting so...you won't be surprise reading my FB's status "DVD marathon..."I just love hanging out at home watching movies...today a little special though..I bought the KFC Variety Meals (6 pieces chicken+4 hot rods+2 mash potatos+1 wedges) as a food supply..hehe..

1Malaysia???

This is a story of a man named Wel....a charming person :) and always calm until it explodes...

I was at the Penang Municipal yesterday afternoon to query about getting dog licenses (Husky and Biggy)..we never had one since Tankerina and it always make me worry whenever we let them out..who lets the dog out pula nanti persoalan dia...

I took the first step yesterday instead of wondering and worrying...I left home an hour earlier than I would usually do and drove straight to Penang Municipal..well, I did call my friend asking where can I apply for dog license in Penang before that though....

I arrived at the Penang Municipal, it was already 13:35...walked straight into the office towards the counter and I saw a tray with a signage "Dog License"...without hesitation, I took a piece of the form and read through its contents...applicable for only RM10 per annum and for dog over 3 months old...then came a Malay lady who asked me if I wanted to apply for dog license - Yes, I answered politely and smiled at her....she replied asking me to fill up the form and wait until 14:00 when the office resumes work...I noded and smiled at her again...she left the counter and I continued what I was doing earlier (read the form)

On the right hand side of that counter is a small partition of another counter and there was a Chinese lady who was leisurely sitting and enjoying her kuaci...I took 3 forms and walked to wards her counter then asked how to fill the form as it has 2 sections (top and bottom) with almost the same details and I was trying to get a confirmation if I were required to fill in details in both sections - Yes she replied. Then she began the interrogation...she asked me if I were Malay (I'm not Malay), asked if my religion were Islam (I'm Christian), asked if I were staying in an apartment or land house (Land-house)....she stopped asking then reminded me of Islam couldn't apply for dog license and will never be granted on any attempt...I reminded her I'm Christian again at this point yet I began to fell uneasy of her remarks at this time....she then asked me from where..I told her that I'm Sabahan....she was a little unsure and made a follow up question by asking me what am I doing in Penang, working?Study?...I replied to her politely, I work here in Penang...I was suprised when she replied me..oh, study....but I just keep it to myself...I then asked her if I need to prepare anything like copy of I.C along with the form...instead of replying to my question, she asked me if I have I.C?????? (Yes I have) another stupid question from her was...IC Malaysia?????? (Yes) and she asked if she could check my I.C...

I wished I could give her a brain wash at this time but Wel is a very calm man..and always be..hehe...I took out my I.C and showed it to her and smiled....with us in that room were 2 makcik and 1 pakcik..I noticed they were watching and listening to our converstation....she then asked where I stay in Penang (Sg. Dua nearby USM campus) then she guessed it correctly by saying I'm renting with other Sabahan...then she asked what I do in Penang...AGAIN??? This time I told her I studied in USM and is now working in Penang....whilst having a stupid conversation with her, I was texting with Jew at the same time (cerita pasal kebuduhan ni perempuan and lesen anjing) Suddenly she asked if I go to pray???What does it has to do with applying for dog license??? (Yes, I'm Christian; walau setahun sekali saja kali pigi church) Then I got the show stopper when she said...I thought Islam cannot have dog.....then another follow up question about Sabahan Malay...I told her in brief there's no Malay in Sabah..we are Bumiputras; KadazanDusun..there have plenty more like Bajau and Murut but there's no Malay in Sabah....once I've said that to her..I decided to end the conversation by saying I will come back later this afternoon when the office has resumed work....she sempat lagi check if I fill up the form correctly (I only fill up the house address) then she kind of reprimanded me and asked why I didn't fill up my name etc...I told her I will fill them up later before coming back this afternoon...before leaving, I smiled at her and thanked her for her "kindness"...

I think, she was just trying to do her job as counter girl...being helpful and being fussy perhaps...I left the office and smiled at the others in the room who were captured into our conversation....

Are we Sabahan ever think of Peninsular as an outsider?? As if Sabah is Malaysia and Peninsular isn't part of Malaysia??

This is utterly bullshit...Do we need to have more adverts on TV (and every where along the road) to show people all over Malaysia that Singapore (now out)+Sabah+Sarawak+Peninsular=Malaysia since 16 September 1963 (postponed from 31 August 1963 due to objection from Philippines and Indonesia)

Dogged

I finally decided to disobey the stubborn-will I made 5 years ago…..to be frank I had no obsolute reason to why I did that…but tragedies after another have brought the stubborn side of me stronger until now…I was kind of arrogant but it helps avoiding unnecessary trip when it matters the most…I had it 2 years ago but I guess it doesn't count if it occurred in another country (Thailand)… I could still remember the last trip from Johor Bahru to Penang in 2003 arriving early in the morning and thought I will not be doing this for a long period of time...I really did….

You might be asking what’s this about…it’s something silly yet doing it does makes me feel a little ‘in control’ of the ‘easy to be dealt with’ side of me….I could say the same to the ‘I dislike peanut’ yet I’m flexible when I were required to eat peanut (in a small amount tidak lah macam mereka yang suka makan peanut buli makan macam nasi..haha..)

Right! I’m about to take a bus ride from Penang to KL this morning (7:30am, 25th July 2009) for the sake of reuniting with my dearest friend Mr Brandon…Mr Jew who’s temporarily in JB for a 6 months intensive training to achieve his RM10 million wedding budget will be arriving via Subang Airport…me and Mr Jew will be Mr Brandon’s guests this weekend for a ‘sit-drink-talk’ session with Mr Guz who had just returned from UK last month…it’s just a catch-up kind of meeting with Mr Brandon, Mr Guz and others at Mr Brandon’s house….the last time I visited him was a year ago and he did come to Penang last month during Mr Jew’s first return journey from JB of which we had a small party…

The ‘sit-drink-talk’ session had been scheduled to be held on 7th July but it’s impossible for Mr Brandon ‘s schedule at the moment (I really don’t have an idea what he’s up to for being busy until the end of September and that’s something we’re going to catch up with.he.he..) Since the session has been rescheduled to this weekend and was just been informed about it 3 days ago, at first thought I’m definitely not going to make it…instead, Mr Bandon and Mr Jew made it inevitable for me to decline (you know lah when your closest friends combine their pujuk rayu kan..) I then thought of coming by flight…checking up my financial status, accounts, credit cards and living expenses…I was certain that’s possible and achievable but deep down inside, I have this another thing I have been trying to achieve….I’ve been trying to reduce ‘unnecessary expenses’ for couple of months already (buying DVDs is not included in my unnecessary expenses tau..hehe..) thinking at the end of the year I will have more credits than debits….It becomes easier for me to achieve it at the moment because of my working hours which can also be translated into ‘less activities better expenditure’…..thinking of keeping the current spirit, I then decided yesterday after so much of thinking to save as much money possible for this trip by going by bus and return via Subang Airport on Sunday afternoon…..Did I choose happiness over satisfaction?? I know it’s all worth because money is not everything ba…and I love my friends…haha..

Next week…our Deployment Manager and happen to be the Support Team Manager will be in the Penang Office for the first time for a week period… I’ve met him when I was in UK...

* Masih belum packing and belum tidur lagi??!! Macam mana mau beraksi ni nanti 4 crates Special Brew sponsored by Carlsberg's QA Engineer??!!

The beginning of an era..

I (we) thought everything will be alright once the time has come for her to resume her job...apparently, it's another devastating news as if we were being betrayed....sigh

I felt like being betrayed again after all the hard work and sacrifices...6 weeks of unpaid leave...1 week prior to that then come another 1 week afterwards... 8 weeks and there seems to be no ending to this....

Sometimes I just couldn't accept why people to be lackadaisical of their other side of life when it effects people around you...I met her and her new hubby 2 weeks ago just to catch up things with her and she was certain if she...she will do it in a good way possible....but unfortunately the news came in a way that I wouldn't have expected....at least make some good of all the chances and understanding given by the management during these past 2 months....still I couldn't put the blame on her against her decision..it just that made me thinking why 'colleagues' are so self-centred...it's her right but couldn't it be far more better if she comes and discuss for resolution instead of making it as an excuse for that decision...a total pity towards the Manager who had tried to make things work out for her over the past 6 weeks or so....still she has to come to fulfill the t&c of a month notice although I have a gutsy felling that she might end up paying for a quick exit...

After almost 2 months working along side with the Manager, all seems to work pretty easy and managable (with pretty good response from HQ) The developer will resume her work after 2 months absence from maternity leave and new colleagues will be joining in next couple of days...after few years operation, the branch is looking towards to another beginning, start from scratch...training, monitoring and improving...to me, it's just another deja vu....

I'm home...

Radio.Blog

In near time soon, I will merge both of my radio blog into a single radio blog. Actually the top (1st) radio blog was purposely created for this blog then came the second one which was created for another blog of my friends in Penang.......also owned by me..but I gave the post permission to them to write any interesting or update news...having said that, many of the songs from the 2nd radio blog will also be made available in the 1st radio blog...especially my favourite song "Tenacious D - Fuck Her Hently"...and of course I'll need to clean up some of those songs that does not worked anymore...

I don't know if any of you who visits this blog would actually listen to these songs..and the sole purpose of adding them to this blog instead of other application was to avoiding "lag" or delay in page viewing/loading..most application is an auto-start once page is viewed and it actually affects the time spent on loading the page...no discrimination here though...I just love that the Radio.Blog offers lot of songs collection of any genre and years...more over..I like its skin...perfectly match with my blog's layout... I knew that these application can be tampered as I did to mine..but I just don't have time to experiment them at this time around...I might next time...of course there's always a new amazing application released....
