PAKU (has returned)

Last night..PAKU played at The Habana, Kristal Point, Penang. A newly open bistro-pub 2-3 weeks ago. At the ground floor, it is entirely a Cafe selling/serving pasta, pizza etc and the 2nd floor is a place where you can have a drink as you would in any normal pub ranging from beer to wine..it has a wine room that been setup to an optimum temperature for wine restoration (13 degrees?)..since it is a new place so I guess I would not want to miss the opportunity to come and have a look (survey) ...you can go to the 2nd floor either by the stair through the Cafe or a lift...once you enter the door/entrance (2nd floor), you'll see a wide window at the far front where you can see the main road..the view is quite nice (cars moving in 2 directions)..I wish it has a balcony or any of that kind...it may look nicer and more relaxing to be able to enjoy the night breeze with couple of cold beers...chatting whilst listening to live-band-music or DJ's...the owner is a fan to PAKU and he's been kind enough to give PAKU the honour to be the first band to play at his place...sepa nama dia tu Mr Jew..Mr.Derick? He was the ex-co-owner of another pub called Frenz but due to some complication..he withdrew himself then opened this new place..

PAKU hasn't been to any gig for over a month due to the departure of Riz (lead guitarist with the straw hat or sometimes cowboy hat) to the US...He has just returned and now they're going to get busy again..with lot of gig/invitations..well they're celebrity bah..tapi bila kau mau kasi mandi saya beer ni Mr Jew?haha...so after resting for over a month..it is timely for them to warm up and get things done before their 2nd album that was said to be released early next year.....any of you that would like to buy their original with autographs on it..do let me know..haha..so I can get more bottles from Mr Jew..

After resting for over 2 weeks..I had a drink again last night...not many but good enough for an old man like me..wahaha..I drank 7 bottles then another 1 bottle was a consolation for "I'm with the band"..haha..thanks Jew..cuba ko kasi tu stout masa saya baru sampai..inda payah ko paksa..sendiri pigi ambil.haha...the above picture was taken using my mobile..sorry that Ms Leena and Mr Jew were not seen in the picture..at the bottom is the flier for their up-coming gig, a charity event organised by Gossip..so whoever (especially Sabahan) that interested knowing this band up-close..perhaps a fan to Mr Jew...haha..come and meet them..a reminder, this band is "logop-band"...especially Mr Jew..so bring along lot of moneys..haha..

According to Izwan (the vocalist), these are the celebrities/artists that will take part in this charity event...(referred to his bulletin in FS)

Ticket price: RM 5.00 *100% ticket sales shall be channeled to charity

Proximity..

Thanks to Ornest/Oiga for his kindness to award me a Proximity Award.. proximity?? Again asking myself...what proximity has to do with an award? Do we get an award for proximity act?ahaha..I don't really care though and I do really appreciate this award..it is not easy bah mau menang award ni..kalau la ada menang award voucher percutian atau cash money..lagi best..

Alright, firstly..the award is actually written in Portuguese..I tried Italian, Spanish and French..still, I was left with the word "PROXIMIDADE"..then tried Portuguese-English..Yes! So, here is the actual translation of what is written on the picture below

"Este Blog investe e acredita na....PROXIMIDADE"
"This blog invests and believes in....PROXIMITY"

The award came with this remark..I wonder....

"They all are charmed with the blogs, where in the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut or that they propagate? Then let’s try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to 8 bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text."

Due to the fact that many of my fellow bloggers have received this and posted on their blogs...so I'd like to share this award (instead of passing..who hasn't they're welcome to post then...) with these 8 bloggers for their proximity efforts, proximity acts as well as proximity thoughts..glad that we're given the chance to get to know each other..Cheers to that!

Mell, Kuai, San, Sweetie, Reno, XigorX, Andrik, JerryInc, KadusMama, UrangRanau (Joy), Ornest (again), Bobby, Ned, Madpie and many more in the sidebar at the right hand side...did I say 8 bloggers? well, since I'm going to share this so I don't really mind or care about the number..God bless you all....

If only I were..

Is this a vanity entry?aha....nuh..I was just playing and trying to feed my curiosity out of the pictures I saw in my dear friend Ms. Flo (sorry..some may not able to view her blog..limited access by invitation) and earlier by fellow blogger XigorX..well if you go to Yearbook, there have a range of years from 1950 to 2000...it would be great if it can make up to 2020 kan...perhaps they're unable to predict and nor imagine what would it be like to live in 2020...what would be the style pula kan...perhaps a punk-trash-grunge-metal-emo style? I wouldn't know but I have the feeling that this kinda style or attire could outclass the others...we'll have to wait and see...heee..at present, this kinda style has became the most likeable among teen-adult...I must say, at some point..it all due to music-life-cycle trend....

I was wondering how would I look like if I were (adult) to live in the early years....these could be me...

Year 1954 (I almost look like my father la with this hair style...wahhhh)
Year 1956
Year 1968
Year 1982 ( I was 2 year-old in this year)

Year 1990 (I was in primary school in this year)

Inspiring theory...

Have you ever heard of Robert Kiyosaki? Honestly I’d seen his books in many major book stores but I never had the chance to really spend time reading it or buying it…they’re not cheap......We tend to buy books that are more interesting and enjoyable for reading…fiction, novel and adventurous are the kind of books that always win the heart of most readers…Perhaps most of you have already heard or read some of his books…This is one of the actual audio for one of his best selling book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”…I got this audio file back in 2006 and I’m saving it as it was very inspiring when I first listened to it… I’ve listened to the audio file more than 5 times….

I don’t know and care of what you may think (of the audio file) once you’ve heard his speech/theory but I’d like to share my appreciation to his inspiring theory by sharing the audio file with you…

There are 3 audio files (3 separated files)…at this moment, I can only upload one of the file as I’m doing this from office…just for the record, we are not allowed to access internet for personal purposes…..especially things like this…if the webs that we are accessing are related to our line of work then that may not be a problem...exception for online banking though…I’ll upload the other 2 files next time a’ight…

Guilty as charged..

So, how you doing?.....to Sabahan people, Happpy Malaysia Day! (yesterday)

Perhaps not many of you know that I'm not entitled to any Malaysian Public Holiday..how weird is that? Our office is in Penang, Malaysia but I'm not entitled to any of the Malaysian Public Holiday...so how on earth I have 25 days of leave per annum? Well, just want to tell that I'm working right at this very moment when most of my friends...holidaying at home...kau off juga ka Mr.Jew? Patut la ko p mogs semalam kan..cis...

OK..I'm alone in the office today and I'm hungry..the mamak stall down there is closed..both developers are off as well..I'm waiting a reply from a customer in Oz in relation to his problem which I requested for a remote in permission to have a look..I have done most of my task earlier today....which is great because I can concentrate on my own thing..to my own mind..not need to consult and guiding developers with their works...

Right..guilty as charged? well..I came in today and checked my emails......I got an email from our CRM Manager asking my view point of the call list sent over by my successor/junior....if only the email was sent to me alone I could possibly cover her mistake or wrong doing..unfortunately the email was also sent to the TD and M'sia Manager...so I was left with no choice that I need to go through each of the calls in our database...then sadly, I found several of the calls were not as mentioned in her list...for example

"Call ID #12345 (updated), Time: 15:33, Apprx Duration: 3.21 minutes"

The word "Updated" means either call-in by customer or call-out to customer. I have lots of call-out mostly due to development work. I would expect to see the call progress been updated around the said time above with its details..however, I couldn't find any and the call was not even dealt by her....nor have her record in there....

So..I really felt guilty but there's no other option other than sharing my findings to them...If I didn't mention that to them, they might have a negative thought towards me..either the CRM Manager or M'sia Manager will actually double check each of the call...usually its the M'sia Manager and at some point he will seek further details of any calls...

After replying the email, I then sent another email to my colleague to mention this to her and advised to re-check her call list...hopefully she didn't intentionaly add the extra calls in her list...well last night alone, according to the emails from my CRM Manager..there were 73 calls answered in UK Support Team..then my successor pula she answered 23 calls..after a deduction from my finding she answered 17 calls...how scary is that if she is accused of her wrong doing..hopefully not..we're lack of staff (Penang) and I've been through the rocky road where I was the only person (available) rotating the shift in Malaysia for a couple of months providing support and consultation to customers between UK-Oz....That was when I opted to ignore my holiday leave and since then..it changed my career in this company..I stop thinking of holiday..reduced the worry for pay rise then concentrate more into performance/improvement..at the end of last year..I was told by our TD and M'sia Manager..the company considers me as an asset to the Penang Office and indirectly to the company itself....nowadays, most internal issues were shared with me...month after weeks..I step forward to contribute in making a decision either in Management or Development...

To my colleague..really hope everthing will be fine....sometimes, I'm not really fond of her attitude....whenever she felt stressed and pressured..she starts whining to look for another job....apa ko bilang tu sweetie..once we give up then it's over...the ultimate/biggest failure ka tu...but we should know when to give up juga ba...I did help her a little bit by sharing my thought what may the reason of her entering a wrong Call ID etc....
