Nothing compares to your home (Country)... Part II

21st March...I was in Cambridge…it was early morning but there were lots of people enjoying their Saturday...I walked pass the market (Pasar Tamu) and saw many interesting stuffs i.e. iron-metal arts design, portraits, clothes, shoes, dvds, foods, flowers and antiques stuff….I wasn’t planning on buying anything except foods….I ate delicious hot-dog sold at the side of a road (the stall name is The Hot sausage) couple of you might knew or aware that I love the 1901 Hot dog very much...having the chance to eat a hot-dog at the side of a road (as what you've always saw in movies or on tv) was so great...I used to hang out (sit and eat) at the 1901 Hot-dog stall in Bukit Jambul shopping complex (the nearest shopping complex to my house; 3 kms) almost every weekend…too bad though, it’s been replaced by something that sells waffle since 2 years ago...the only places that I could enjoy the 1901 Hot-dog now (especially the New York Chicken) are at cinemas...sometimes I bought 2 of them!!

Itu tuuuuna la hot-dog saya makan..hehe...
I spent the whole Saturday observing the beauty of Cambridge...managed to see a graduation day…observed few street musician…window shopping…enjoyed a sandwich with pork ham+salad+tomato, a bottle of fresh orange juice and couple of cigarettes at the public park...saw several couples enjoying their “romantic” moment under the cold climate and sunny day at the public park…

The main attraction to me whilst window shopping was looking and thinking at how many original DVD I could possibly buy at cheaper price...I could get them at ₤3.00! However, I was in doubt about DVD player's compatibility in Malaysia…I’m aware that every country has its own region code and compatibility for every electric device...Malaysia is region 1 which could indicate our DVD player could only play DVD with the same region code?? Anyone knows about this???

Duduk-duduk makan lunch di tepi public park sambil menonton keindahan 'pemandangan'
Ganjil la pokok di sana...kau ingat tiada harapan lagi mahu hidup sebab tinggal ranting kering lagi..sekali ada bunga-bunga..pandai tu pokok-pokok menipu..
I think it was about 4:00pm that I decided to go home....I didn’t buy anything except foods for lunch and went to Sainsburry’s Supermarket to buy food supply in my room; orange juice, strawberries (my main fruit whilst in UK), junk food (pringles), ham and bread for a quick own-made-sandwich also some toiletries on my way back to the parking park...jalan punya jalan, sesat lagi...I couldn’t remember where was the parking park building….most of the buildings are look a like...dengan tenang aku imbas kembali the walking path I took (stage by stage) and managed to find the building...apa tidak sesat, di sudut bandar pula itu bangunan and kena lindung oleh bangunan lain…I went to the auto-pay machine and paid ₤7.20 for the parking!!!I spent less than ₤10.00 at Sainsburry’s Supermarket for all the stuffs I bought….cukup suda untuk makan 3 hari itu duit parking..haha...my journey back wasn’t that good...I was almost got caught by the “tiang bergerak” at the middle of the road…certain roads in UK have an access restriction; only public buses and registered taxis are allowed to get through the ‘gate'...I came out from a roundabout behind a public bus then entered a road next to a park where I saw a signboard showing “Haverhill A1307”, the place I needed to go…I didn’t even realize there have the ‘gate’ in less than 30 meters…I saw a bus in front of me and I was about 10 meters behind driving cautiously…suddenly I saw the "tiang bergerak" naik and turun once the bus left the ‘gate’….then that was the moment I saw the signboard about the access restriction on both left-right sides of the ‘gate’…I was thinking; If I go, the car might get hit by the ‘"iang bergerak" or if I reverse the car, I might get traffic fine by police....I drove slowly and saw the "tiang bergerak" descending slowly…I looked at the rear mirror, there I saw a public bus approaching...dengan leganya aku memandu seperti tiada apa yang terjadi..selamat juga lah...

Arrived at the hotel, resting and ate own-made-sandwich….later that evening, I went down to the hotel’s bar and had a very nice dinner; a steak and a pine of warm Guinness Stout which cost me ₤17.45 and ₤3.49 respectively..had a couple of cigarettes outside the hotel’s bar then went up to my room to get rest...

Naik perahu sendiri tolak...tengok itu stick penolak dorang panjang tapi sekali masuk dalam air, tinggal sikit lagi untuk pegang....dalam gila ni sungai...
22nd March...I woke up as usual that morning, 7:20am...I had nothing to do so I watched tv up until 9:00am then had my breakfast as usual at the hotel’s restaurant…I drove to Haverhill town but nothing was interesting….it was a Mother’s Day…then from Haverhill, I drove to Cambridge again…I had the hot sausage as my lunch in Cambridge…I would never get bored of eating that! Spent several hours there and I drove to Newmarket, Norwich…as a matter of fact, it is situated at the outskirt of Norwich and about 47 miles from Cambridge…I didn’t plan to go to Newmarket so I purposely left the camera at the hotel...Newmarket is a small country side town famous for horse breading and racing…I don’t know if any of you have really saw a real race horse but the horses I saw in Newmarket were huge and masculine….looking at the size of these horses reminds me of the movies like Braveheart, Gladiator and Conan The Barbarian…..spent about an hour there and drove back to Haverhill town then to the office (wanted to get familiar with the road for the next working day) before I went back to the hotel, I stopped at the nearby supermarket to buy 3 layers sandwich, orange juice, strawberries and Tabasco sauce for a dinner....perhaps due to the cold climate, I couldn’t get hungry or hungered for heavy food….it suits me well enough…I slept quite late that night at almost 2:00am but surprisingly I woke up very early the next morning at 5:20am to start my real purpose in UK...

Suhu di luar kereta di waktu siang....
Sejuk mata kiri kanan perjalanan hijau saja...
Sudi-sudi lah makan sweet-fresh strawberries

*Apology for the poor quality of pictures...am not an amateur and nor expert bah...it's the experience that counts...hehe...

Another blurry day..

Yay it's Friday! T.G.I.F?Yeah of course!....what the hell am I going to do today? Earlier today, I woke up at 6:42am...continued my sleep and woke up the second time at 7:58am..darn it! If I kept on sleeping..I might lost my mood the whole day because of the overslept thing..I can't sleep over my normal 4-6 hours a day..I can sleep less than that though..last night after returning from a short night out with Mr Joel...I watched my old DVD collection...the "Knocked Up"..I think it was the 3rd time...I slept at around, quarter pass 3am I guess...so no wonder I woke up this early..switched on my PC and checked my email...office email which I replied some that require a quick action...then tried looking for any interesting stuff to download...anime of course...none! then as usual, checking my blog...replied some comments..accepted a request then blog hopping..lompat si katak lompat p mengacau...then after wards, I started to think..what am I going to do today (again)? I've done almost all of my stuffs yesterday...I can wash my ride later on Sunday..I don't really like this feeling, you know....this is when I was always got beaten by the desire to buy DVDs...I am trying to not buy DVDs at this moment...I just hope if I go there, only movies that I'm currently looking for are available in good quality (100% copy of an original DVD) I guess I'm going out later to have my 3 meals a day lah ni..going to watch some of my DVDs collection before the DVD shop to open at around 2pm...

It's nice huh when you're so free doing nothing..writing your mind out helps you to decide several things in life...enjoy your day in office and happy working...HAPPY FRIDAY!

Dr. House

Yeah..I've finished watching the House TV series...alas...I finally managed to catch up with the one that being aired in Astro (currently season 4)..ha..ha..I watched and finished all 4 seasons collection of House series this month...so basically, I bought a season (6 DVDs) at each week..inda buli tahan ba...tepaksa la p beli..malas mau tunggu..he.he..

Maybe there's plenty of you doesn't really know what's this TV series all about...the title is House as for the main lead actor is named as Gregory House..he is a maverick medical genius who heads a team of young diagnosticians at the 'fictional' Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. House's nationally renowned department typically only sees patients who have failed to receive a correct diagnosis at other hospitals..or by other doctors...so the cases tend to be exceptionally complex and subtle..furthermore, House tends to resists accepting cases that he doesn't find interesting....he likes quizzes..and he rocks...

Often the ailment cannot be easily deduced because the patient has lied about symptoms and circumstances. House frequently mutters "Everybody lies" or proclaims during team's deliberations.."the patient is lying" or "the symptoms never lies" even when not stated explicitly, this assumption guides House's decisions and diagnoses. Another large portion of the plot centres on House's abuse of Vicodin..and other drugs to manage pain stemming from an infarction in his leg's muscle some years ago..which causes him to walk with a cane..

Now..I have to wait for its latest season....at the meantime..I'm going to collect other TV series as well..the likes of One Tree Hills, Prison Break and Ghost Whisperer..might be filling up my DVDs holder soon later..I was actually planning to share some pictures taken during the recent France Fete De La Music concert at the New World Park, Penang but my friend who took those pictures using his Digicam has not uploaded them...so..siaran tergendala la ni..atau terpaksa kana reschedule..hehe

Fuel price go up? So....what should we do..?

Early in the morning, whilst I was having my break first at some Nasi Kandar restaurant..I had roti canai telur and a cup of teh tarik..I heard people around me talking about fuel price going up..expected to start in August la..still rumors say it will start today at midnight..

Lunch break..again..the same story.. this time 8 out of 10 people around me talked about it..however, it was a little different though..it is going up for sure at midnight today..so when I returned to office, I had a small chat about it with my colleagues..the main question is what can we do about?

At around 3:40pm I left the office and straight went home..surfed online news then found out it is now been confirmed?!! I was mad but at the same time...I asked myself..what can I do about it...stop using fuel and buy a bicycle?....stop buying fuel and just leave my precious Ferari parked at home?....stop at fuel station to buy cigarettes instead of fuel?..migrate to another country that does not increase the fuel price?...stop working and stay at home until the fuel price go down?...so..what is the verdict here?..which should I go for? Any other options?..please help me...as I can't think of any reason why people so mad but at the same time knew that they can not do anything about it....you're only making your life miserable thinking about it and still couldn't do nothing...When I was surfing some of the blogs I had in my bookmark list, I was hoping for at least some positive view of this incident.. none of us are happy with the decision made..I can assure you that..I also got mad what..but getting mad without thinking of tackling this issue would not help..low income workers (like me la..) know that this would brings another burden into their monthly financial budget..so we should think more on tackling this matter from within rather than complaining and whining.....I don't care if you guys would agree with me but it has never occurred to me....I am bad..(not quite effective to be exact due to satisfaction matter)...in money management sometimes...but it is the only way and the one solution I shall start doing from now on.....I have to be more strict on how I spend my money..more or less.. I have to sacrifice my DVD's budget as well..I don't have a budget for buying DVDs actually but sometimes I went far beyond imagination...sometimes it can go over RM150 in a month for DVDs? How many DVDs I have currently with that amount spent on? you do the calculation if the price of a single DVD is around RM5 - RM7....and I've started spending that kinda amount since 2 years ago..also I still need to enjoy but in a moderate way probably after this..kurang la uncle Carls lepas ni...

So back to the fuel thingy..."Malaysia is a net oil exporter and gains from high oil prices, reaping 250 million ringgit, or $77.6 million, a year in revenue for every $1 increase in crude prices" quoted from Herald Tribune ...a question also an issue could be raised from this statement....which had been debated by the opposition during the recent general election..

Can this affects our economy and sociology? Although the rise in fuel prices (petrol and diesel) will reduce the government's subsidies and help the government manage its budget deficit, the government should also be prudent in managing rising inflation expectations..we are likely to save more and this will slow down spending and may lead to a double whammy in the economy..as I said earlier..lot of people are angry but they feel helpless so I think in near time soon, some of this angry group would ask or seek other..opposition la apa lagi....to demonstrate to show their unhappiness to the government..then again..it may lead to..chaos!!! Will a man from the future..say like 2020..travels through time to save Malaysia from being destroyed by its own government like the Terminator.....
